8 Ways To Incorporate Easter Peeps Into Your Dessert!

Peeps are just as much a part of Easter as the Bunny himself! In fact, I look forward to them each year. I do enjoy eating them by themselves but I’ve also learned that they make a fun addition to any dessert! Here are some of my favorite ideas.

Chocolate Fondue

Chocolate fondue is one of my favorite desserts for a crowd. All you need to do is create the fondue, and then arrange items on a platter that taste great with chocolate. Peeps are the perfect addition to any fondue spread! I also like to include cookies, strawberries, and bits of cheese so guests can have a variety.

Cake Toppers

If I decide to make an Easter cake, I often use Peeps to decorate it. There are so many ways you can include them in your design! One of my favorites is to create a spring outdoor scene that includes baby chicks (Peeps) walking around on the grass (green icing). Use your imagination and it will be a crowd pleaser! You can also use them to decorate cupcakes.

Dessert Skewers

Another fun dessert idea is to make dessert skewers using Peeps. You can spear skewers through things like strawberries, brownies, chocolates, and Peeps to create something that is just as fun to make, as it is to eat.

“Peeps” Pops

Poke a candy stick through the marshmallow Peep of your choice and dip in melted chocolate. From there, you can decorate them as you wish. Things like candy sprinkles, coconut shavings, and crushed nuts work very well for your homemade “Peeps” pops.

Dessert Pizza

Have you ever made a dessert pizza before? Unlike regular pizza, it is made with a cookie crust, dessert sauce, and any fun topping you want. My favorite combination uses sugar cookie dough, chocolate and hazelnut spread, flaked coconut, and Peeps!

S’mores

As if s’mores weren’t fun enough already, Peeps make them even better! Just follow your favorite s’mores recipe, but use Peeps instead of marshmallows. The end result is something that tastes just like the dessert we know and love, but with a little more color.

Marshmallow Treats

I love to make a batch of my favorite marshmallow treats and then top them with my Easter Peeps! The trick is to form the treats into balls, squish them flat, and then add a Peep while the treat is still warm so it will stick. You can also make the treats with Peeps rather than marshmallows to give it some color.

Sundaes

I love ice cream sundaes and this is one of my favorite uses for Peeps. I add a few scoops of my favorite ice cream, some Peeps, hot chocolate sauce, sprinkles, and whipped cream. All you need to do is make your favorite ice cream sundae, add Peeps, and enjoy!
