Recipe: Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshakes

Is it just us or have milkshakes become an obsolete treat replaced by the likes of cake pops and cronuts? Gone are the days when rosy-cheeked boys sat beside bright eyed girls, feet dangling from vinyl covered chrome stools as they enjoyed an a hazy afternoon of shake-induced brain freeze. Today, we have fro-yo shops with tacky neon signs and cupcake bakeries beckoning at passersby with cutesy window displays. But their time will come to an end. And when it does, we hope the milkshake will be ready to once more be in the spotlight.

Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshakes
4 cups vanilla ice cream
6 ounces of cream cheese
1 lb frozen strawberries, not in syrup
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup graham cracker crumbs

In a blender, combine all ingredients, in batches if need be. Blend until smooth.
